Do Bioethanol Fireplaces Provide Enough Heat?

One of the most common questions we get asked here and MyFirepits about our Bio Ethanol burners are do they provide a good amount of heat? The quick and easy answer to this question is yes, but lets delve a little deeper and explore how different models and install options can effect this.

All our Bio Ethanol Fire Burners have a rated heat output of anywhere in between 4600w up to 22,000w depending on the size of product you choose. An average electric fire has a heat output of approx 10,000w so to compete with the heat output of an electric fire you’d be wanting a Bio Ethanol Fire that can provide a similar heat output.

Bio Ethanol Fireplaces are specifically designed to run on Bio Ethanol Fuel which is currently the most eco-friendly fuel as it is made from fermented sugar and starch making it plant based. As well as being eco-friendly they offer a versatile choice of installation options as they can be installed as standalone items or recessed into a wall just like a more standard fire. They can achieve this by not needing a flue or chimney when installing and then also don’t need glass covers as are usually left open, this also lets the heat escape into the home as a pose to escaping through the chimney outside. All of these factors above combined makes a Bioethanol Fireplace a very effective addition to your existing household heating options.

If you are looking for an occasional additional heat source in your home or business then a Bio Ethanol Fire Burner could be the right choice for you. Whilst not being intended to fully replace your central heating system they do provide a good amount of heat as long as choosing the right option. As well as being a great heat source the biggest benefit they carry over an electric fire is that you get a genuine real flame which when comparing fires, there is no real comparison.
